As moms our schedules can be crazy. Being a work from home mom, who also cares for a baby and a toddler, can be hectic to say the least! I currently run 3 businesses from my home and my children stay at home with me. Ever had a conference call with a baby on your hip, while feeding a toddler with one hand? If I could only juggle too, I’d belong to the local circus!
I am NOT a morning person, never have been. My tiny tot wakes sometimes at 7AM and some days as late as 9AM. She is not on a strict schedule, so things fluctuate. My husband is up and out the door before any of us wake. My little babe can sleep in sometimes till 9AM as well, other times she is up at 6:45AM. However, she is finally sleeping through the night, so I’ll take any of it! A majority of the time she is up around 8AM.
My baby monitor is always right at my nightstand to alert me as she wakes. She is quite noisy in the morning. As soon as she begins to rumble, I begin to wake. I grab 2 things immediately. My glasses so I can see two feet in front of me and an Equate Fragrance Free Makeup Remover Towelette.
I learned a long time ago from my mother, how important it was to wash your face before bed. I always make an effort to take off all my makeup and apply all my skincare routine products.
There are many priorities that come up through out the day, taking care of your face should really be near the top of your priority list. It’s the only one you have! They’re so versatile my husband has been known to steal one for a quick wipe down after breaking a sweat.
I prefer to wipe my face down as I wake, to assist in waking me up. I’m not a splash my face with cold water type of person. I don’t know how people do that. If I have water being thrown on my face, then my hair better be on fire. These towelettes are so convenient. They have essential oils & they are 99% natural! What’s not to love?
- Fragrance Free
- Made with essential oils and 99% natural ingredients
- Remove Makeup, even waterproof mascara
I found Equate Beauty Fragrance Free Makeup Remover Towelettes in the cosmetic section with the other facial cleansers at my local Walmart. They’re easy to use, super convenient budget-friendly.
My little babe always wakes and wants to eat right away. While my coffee brews, I always have puffs snacks or yogurt snacks on hand, to toss her way to hold her over. Her favorite breakfast is scrambled eggs, whipping out a skillet before my tot wakes is not happening. I do a quick 2 min egg in the microwave that she loves. My toddler changes her mind on her breakfast of choice depending on her mood. She is always a gamble, but she will never turn down a donut.
Once my coffee is brewed and my babes have their breakfast served, I begin my day. Currently, my home is in the process of renovations. My kids eat at the kitchen island while I browse through my emails and social media messages.
Depending on the day we either now have to begin getting dressed and head out or we then relocate to the living area for playtime. They had a playroom devoted to their needs, however this area is currently part of the renovations. During this open playtime, my tiny tot will pick out her outfits for the day. I will then plan my content needed to be done for the day. Depending on the weather and the lighting coming into the house, I will create images for the day/week needed. Before I can blink, it is 10:30AM, by this time- my little babe is ready for her 1st nap of the day.
At this time, I will load the dishwasher and clean the kitchen from breakfast. If I have any phone conferences that day, I try to squeeze them in at this time. If I do not have any calls to make, I will then use this time to get dressed for the day.
I have a holy grail, hallelujah time period of about 30-45 mins when my kids naps overlap. If this happens, I just happy dance in the kitchen while I eat my lunch.
What do your mornings look like?
