Have you ever hosted a group of fellas for the big game?
Men + Football = FOOD
Here’s a little unknown fact about me, well I guess it is not really about me. But anyways- every year when game day rolls around this is also a time for me to combine some of my favorite things. These things would be: family, birthday cake & game day foods! My dad and brother have birthdays in the first week of February. We always get together to watch the game, eat some game day foods and then take down some birthday cake like a champ!
These two sauces can be game changers in the world of appetizers! RAGÚ® sauces aren’t just for spaghetti recipes. They’re also great for quick appetizers while watching the big game.
RAGÚ® Old World Style Sauce contains two servings of vegetables in every 1/2 cup of sauce. For a mom- this is a WIN WIN! But my kids aren’t the ones I have an issue with eating their veggies, its my hubby. Kicking up this sauce with some chili flakes and tossing it alongside some marinara sticks provides the perfect cool and spicy kick.
RAGÚ® Double Cheddar Cheese Sauce is a perfect pairing for a can of rotel and 1/2 lb. of ground turkey for a quick crockpot cheese dip. RAGÚ sauces aren’t just for spaghetti recipes. It’s great for a 3 simple ingrieident appetizer while watching the big football game.

Garden of Eatin’® makes organic corn chips with delicious twists on conventional favorites. My little one was all over the blue chips with sea salt, that bag went quick!
The BIG AZ® has a line of sandwiches, which are sold in conveniences stores all around the US. My husband was all over this BIG AZ® Sriracha Chicken Sandwich. The sriracha-covered grilled chicken is topped with a slice of cheese. I’m not sure what won him over more…the cheese or its tangy-sweet hot sauce. We are a sucker for cheese in this house, so slapping it on sriracha chicken about made my husband do cartwheels.
Midea’s new Air Fryer is the MVP of the party this season! The super-heated air that circulates in the chamber and adding just a small amount of oil. It cooks your favorite game day foods like wings, fries, and more while allowing the excess fats from food ingredients to fall away! In addition to frying, you can also grill, bake, and roast.
I used it to fry up a fresh batch of hot wings for the hubs. I seasoned up the naked wings with a dry mix of garlic salt and paprika. The front of the fryer is fool proof, check what it says for the time and it has an automatic shut off when done. Once out of the fryer I tossed them in a Smoked Applewood Molasses BBQ Sauce from Red Duck Foods.

Last up in the game day line up was my snack of choice- Formaggio Italian fresh mozzarella. It is hand tossed in their famous marinade of herbs and spices. I paired them with fresh basil, a cherry tomato then drizzled with a balsamic glaze. The hubs swore he didn’t like it, then he tried it…then we began fighting for the last one!
