As a mom of 4, Easter is a holiday that I grew up celebrating that I have so many memories from. I have continued to pass down traditions that my family did now with my own little family. My mom always put a new bathing suit in my Easter basket, this tradition is now one that my kids look forward to. One thing that I did not carry on, was for the selfish sake of my own sanity. We do not dye Easter eggs in this house. If you’re a toddler Mama like myself, the thought of lining up cups filled with dye and giving your clumsy toddler an egg to dip into it, is nerve wracking. No thank you, I’ll pass. Maybe once my littles get a little older I will consider it, but for now, we find other means to celebrate the day and carry on traditions.
I am always open to trying new ideas and traditions for holidays that my kids would enjoy. This year we discovered the The Happy Easter Dipping Kit by Edible®. It is a fun new way for us to celebrate one of life’s special occasions! Technically, we are still dipping, only this time – it’s fun things like strawberries and bunny shaped pineapples. My kids LOVED this new Easter tradition.

Once your kit arrives place your fruit box into the fridge while you set up your dipping station. Do not place the small box with your decoration bags and dipping chocolates into the fridge. You will want these room temperature for the time being.
Grab a cookie sheet, some parchman paper, two small bowls, a cup of warm water and whatever item you’d like to use as your assistance for dipping. You can always just hold the fruit with your fingers while dipping, however it is easier (especially for little ones) if the fruit is secured onto an item. I used a cheese fork to help hold the pineapple and bunnies. The strawberries have their stems to assist with dipping.
If you get a little chocolate on your fingers, this is ok too, it’s actually a delicious mistake that I may or may not have made on purpose.
Next up, you’ll want to place your mini sequin sprinkles into one of your small bowls. Grab a microwave safe bowl and place the Edible dipping chocolate into the bowl. Initially we melted ⅓ cup of the amount provided, later we added more chocolate to finish the entire allotted amount of fruit. The fun part is that if you want to eat the fruit by itself and not dip it, that’s fine too. There are no rules with this fun project!
The kids had so much fun with this activity. It was an experience that we had never done together before. It is the perfect family friendly Easter tradition that we intend to continue with year after year.
Pro-tip: use a paper towel or clean/dry dish cloth to pat the pineapple dry to allow the chocolate to adhere better to the surface of the pineapple. If you notice that your chocolate is beginning to thicken, you can microwave it at 15 sec intervals and stir to get to a better consistency.
The decoration bags are not icing, these are chocolate as well. Place the piping bags narrow side down into your warm cup of water. We used a tall tumbler, keeping the ends of the bags outside of the cup. This allows your chocolate to warm to allow for better consistency to then drizzle to your heart’s desire. Once you’re ready to start pipping (after you’ve dipped in chocolate) snip a small angled cut into the end of the bag. Once you have snipped the ends, do not place back into your warm water cup.
Now the fun part, start dipping, drizzling and sprinkling! Dip your fruit, drizzle your yellow, pink & blue chocolates and top with your mini sequin sprinkles! There are no rules, design how you would like.

Once completed, place your cookie sheet into the freezer for 15-20 mins to allow the chocolate to cool and set. You can now place them in a container to store in the fridge, eat your creations or gift to friends and family.
Our final result, I am pretty proud of.
