Want to know the investment that has saved me over a thousand dollars every year? Well, it is my at home gel polish lamp and kit. Gel polish is one of the greatest beauty inventions ever in my book. Having gel polish makes your nails seem instantly bulletproof. You can immediately dig into your purse for your keys and wallet and hold them up victoriously (like as my daughter says TA DAAAA).

Salons charge anywhere from $35 to $45 dollars for a gel nail polish manicure and that’s not including the tip.
If you do the math with the minimum amount of $35 plus $7 tip with 2 appointments per month, THAT’S $1,008 A YEAR!!!

Most of us need to have them done again just before the 2nd week rolls around. Sometimes, lets be honest, we can let them ride a little longer. If you’re not careful you’ll start looking like Britney Spears leaving a gas station bathroom barefoot and eating Cheetos.

Quite a few years ago, I purchased one at home gel kit. The kit was the lamp, the top coat and base coat polishes. An at home gel UV lamp similar to mine runs for around $25-$30. That is less than the cost of ONE gel mani!
