Anyone who knows me or follows me on social media, knows that I am a skincare junkie. I blame my mother for this. It is not a bad addiction though, I am lucky. With an esthetician as a mother I get all the knowledge and products I can get my hands on. So when the HiMirror came around I was all about it.
HiMirror is a two-in-one mirror + virtual beauty consultant. The mirror comes with an HD camera that takes high-quality pictures of your face and analyzes the images. With the images the Hi-Mirror then uses them to detect any concerns. This means if you have issues with your pores, or you’re like me with dark spots, redness, dark circles, fine lines, etc. it will analyze it all! How freakin cool is that?!
Based on your results it will then suggest skincare products to use to improve the appearance of your skin. It is like having your own personal esthetician living with you and checking your skin daily.
You can even add the beauty products you already love and own into the system through the My Beauty Box feature, and HiMirror can create a beauty routine based on them. Genius!
HiMirror records all the information every time you analyze your skin, so it can keep track of progress, allowing you to evaluate how well your skincare products are working. Plus, all the data is anonymous and secure. It is not a touchscreen device. You use your hands and make gestures to use the HiMirror accordingly. I will admit that initially I was pretty frustrated with this feature. I was waving my hands around like a crazy person until my husband came in the room. He showed me that it was just sensitive and I needed to be slower in my motions for it to register.
Living here in South Florida the sun can be brutal, once I start my HiMirror in the morning it will give me the weather with UV index & the top national news.
I chose to mount mine on my large bedroom mirror. I loved that it needed no tools and took only a few mins. You can mount it directly to a wall or may also purchase a stand for your mirror in the shop for only $12.99.
With the latest update, you can now change the interface color through the Settings > Set Theme. There are several media center updates, including the ability to record video messages for yourself. That sounds pretty badass right?
The HiSkin is the HiMirror’s perfect partner. The HiSkin in used in combination to measure your skins hydration and melanin levels. All your results show up on your HiMirror or up on your phone. You simply hold it against different areas of your face and neck and it takes an average measurement of your hydration levels.
As you can see from my results, I have combination skin. My skin is very dry around my forehead and I tend to be more oily around my chin. This information confirms this and my HiMirror can now recommend products specifically for my combination skin. I can also have HiMirror recommend a better regiment for what I currently own in my skincare supplies.
