Getting Ready For Back To School

This post may contain affiliate and/or sponsored links. For more information be sure to check out my disclosure policy.

We are super excited and totally nervous, our oldest is starting VPK this August. VPK is  prekindergarten program for 4 and 5-year-olds who reside in Florida. This will be her first experience in an educational setting. This makes me a nervous parent, with all the questions…

What if she’s not ready?
Will she make friends?
Have I taught her enough at home that she won’t fall behind?
Have I done enough to prepare her?

Learning isn’t a one size fits all approach, instead it changes daily. You may find that your kids learn best using technology one day and reading a book the next day. Our family has used the Amazon Kids Edition tablet as an educational tool to help prepare our little one(s) for school.

Watching Educational Videos

I think one of my favorite things to see my kids use the Kids Edition Tablet for is watching educational videos. The battery lasts up to 7 hours, which means your kids have plenty of time to watch on their educational videos. Educational videos are plentiful these days, so anything you’d like your kids to learn, they can!

Interactive Learning

My kids are visual learners, which means they need a little interaction for learning, which the Kids Edition Tablet is perfect for. We allow them to use an apps for learning or hearing, the Kids Edition Tablet is perfect for that!

Learning on the Go

How many of you are on the go? With having kids of different ages, sometimes I’m reliant on my kids learning on the go. This is more than okay, it just takes a bit of planning. With the Kids Edition Tablet, I can take it on the go and help my kids learn along the way. This summer, when we took road trips or had a bit of a drive, I’d pack the Kids Edition Tablet and give the kids something fun to learn and they loved it.

Lots of Learning Options

There are so many learning options with a Kids Edition Tablet. When you use FreeTime Unlimited, it  includes thousands of books, videos, apps, games, and audiobooks. When they got bored with one option, there is always another activity waiting just around the corner. I’d say that the learning options with a Kids Edition tablet are endless.

Using a Kids Edition tablet as an educational tool has changed the way things work around our house. Screen time isn’t just full of nonsense, it’s full of things that make sense.

FUN TOO!

What I love about Kids Edition Tablet as well is that all the movies I have purchased with our Amazon Fire Stick are all available to be added on their tablets as well. For all those times I’ve spent money on Disney movies, I get my money’s worth!

The set up was super easy and the parental controls can be managed both on the device or from your phone.

My nephew was in the VPK program last year and he loved it! That was his first time in any type of school/daycare setting and it was so good for him. My boys use their kindle fire for learning a lot, too. We just can’t do it on the go because mine are prone to motion sickness.

Cute kids. There are so many interactive ways kids can learn. I love the many concepts of online, but I know as former educator that it’s also important to take a break. The education videos can be an excellent tool for learning on the go and traveling. Kids are so much smarter. It seems they know how to use the stuff even before you show them.

I had no idea that Amazon offered a kids version of their tablet! What an awesome concept so you can have a bit more control over what’s being watched and played, etc. Leave it to Amazon to think of something that genius!
