Summer is all about being on the go for our family. We often jump in the car for family vacations or to head down the street to spend time with friends. We were not lucky enough to purchase a home with a pool, next house it will be a deal breaker. Lucky for us, our parents and our friends do have pools. Now that it is summer time, we have been pool hoping every few days. I’ve got two water babies on my hands and through the years I have determined the essentials needed for them!
Making sure to have a safe summer with my family is super important. Ensuring that my children learn how to swim at a young age is important, because I do not want them to fear the water. I began introducing my kids to the water as babies.
Now hitting the road for these fun pool days can get hectic. I have learned after a few summers now as a Mama, that I only need to be packing the necessities. With 1 little babe and 1 tiny tot, there is so much to consider when packing. Here are 4 finds that I always grab and recommend.
Swimways:
The Baby Spring Float Sun Canopy is perfect to start getting babies used to the water and kicking on their own. The mesh play spaces perfect for letting my little babe play with her water toys. We love that the canopy offers 50+ UPF sun protection, since my little babe now refuses to wear a those adorable sun hats I stocked up on.
Swim Diapers:
A soggy baby booty is cute until it is time to change that diaper. Swim diapers are the best thing for pool days and splash pad moments. They allow for the protection needed without the cowboy walk with baby booty sag.
Battery Operated Fan:
Here in South Florida it can get hotter than hot. Ensuring the the babes has a moment to recharge and cool down is really important. We always bring a battery operated fan to offer a cool down moment in the shade.
Rashguard:
Although the baby bikini’s and suits are adorable, they usually do not offer much sun protection. When we know we will be spending a full day in the sun, we throw on a rash guard with built in SPF to offer extra sun protection alongside the sunscreen applications.
